What’s your first memory of dogs being in your life?

My grandfather Pops dog. He was called Punch, he was a beautiful gentle black Labrador with a huge handsome face. Kindest dog I’ve ever met. Like nanna from Peter Pan.

Tell us about a Bruce and how he came into your life?

Bruce was the love child of myself and Ben. We got him after only dating for 3 months. He is the glue that binds us.

Favourite all time place to go for a long walk?

My favourite walk would be a 3 hour hike from Cape Cornwall to Lands End. But Bruce, now that he’s old likes to be driven down to the Cove, carried across the car park and put down of the sand. Then he’s in heaven, especially if he bumps into friends.

What essentials do you always have on you when heading out on a walk?

Our kintails collar and lead and pop bags.

If you could be a dog for the day which breed would you choose and why?

I’d probably be a deerhound, as you get a lot of street cred. As I’m not exactly tall maybe a rescue mongrel. You’d be loved, have a far better life than the one you were maybe destined for and potentially have far less health conditions than our beloved pedigree breeds.

What adventures do you have planned for this year.

We will be going on a lot of beach picnics, relaying children, surfboards, buckets and spades and Bruce to quiet places on secret beaches. A summer of Enid Blyton adventures.
