Alice is the designer behind T A O, a studio based in Cornwall exploring the art of moving in harmony with ourselves and nature through clothing and conversations. After a neurological disease unexpectedly turned Alice's life upside, walking became her daily purpose and a metaphor for regaining independence and freedom. Inspired by this Ali began the 'The Path Unknown' Podcasts, where she is joined by guests walking their own unique paths in life. We joined Alice along with her West Highland Terrier Albe for an afternoon walk along part of the Cornish Celtic Way to hear more about her inspirational story and how having a dog by her side has been an inspiration to get outside during her recovery.

MARAZUL is an environmentally conscious clothing brand founded by Harriet Baylis that unlocks a world of women, wanderings and stories. All threaded together with a sustainable style and aesthetic that runs in line with the elements. Now based in Cornwall, Harri enjoys studio life with her rescue dog Bodhi who has brought a whole new level of enjoyment to exploring the Cornish Coast for inspiration.

Siobahn Palmer is an artist and surface pattern designer based in Cambridgeshire. Inspired by her surroundings, nature and the places she has travelled. Siobahn enjoys creating original hand rendered artwork, using a real mix of mediums, predominantly acrylic or watercolour paints. During lockdown she created Cursed, a handmade creative/fashion project with her mum & sister. Joining Siobahn in her studio is Ozzy the Bedlington Whippet, who’s cheeky character brings joy to everyday life and makes every adventure more fun.

Northly Nice was set up by Rebecca and Mark as a place to share their travel photography along with reviews on the places they visit. Northly was created as a shared passion for their time spent together, not working, and captures their love of exploring new places together and everything that comes with it. Wilma, their Boston Terrier is a big part of Rebecca and Mark’s travels along with helping to add the structure to what can be a chaotic freelance life.

Off Grid is a creative brand and digital design studio with bases in Llangollen and Macclesfield, run by two friends, designers (and dog obsessives), Kim & Sally. Together they create projects that celebrate the natural world, support fellow creatives and encourage purposeful and rewarding lives. Their work has an aesthetic intent and strives for beauty, but it is driven by something deeper - the potential to make a positive impact, both within the community and for the environment.

Founded by skateboarder Lyndsay McLaren, Neighbourhood Skate Club aims to create more opportunities for women in the UK to skate, connect and community-build. Lyndsay teaches 1-2-1 skate lessons and hosts regular community events and workshops. The goal is to create a supportive and collaborative environment, while encouraging her community to get on their boards, take up space, use their voice and feel good. Joining Lyndsay on her daily adventures is Moro, the Dalmatian Collie cross who has a playful spirit and a love for making new friends.

Earl of East is creative business founded by Niko Dafkos and Paul Firmin in 2014. A love of fragrance and a desire to build something of their own led us to develop our own line of home fragrance products, which has since expanded from just three candles to a line that encompasses, candles, incense, home mists and bath and body products, all of which are produced by them in their London studios. We spoke to them about how their business started along with welcoming new addition Piper to the Earl family.

Grain & Knot was born from a love of nature, exploration and the need for purpose in creation. It is beautifully tactile, fully functional wooden kitchenware, with each item made from reclaimed timber. The wooden goods at Grain & Knot are lovingly hand-crafted by Sophie in her home studio. In the Summer of 2013, Sophie attended a spoon carving and bushcraft workshop in woodland in the beautiful British countryside. Inspired by the techniques learnt, she returned home the very next day with an axe, much to her family's amusement. Sophie is joined in her studio by her fairly lazy whippet Stanley, who can be found snoozing the day away in his bed while Sophie is busy working on her latest project.

Inspired by her search for a cleaner fragrance, Evermore founder, Sarah wanted to create her own natural candles. In 2014 she decided to give the craft of candle making a try. The result was Evermore; sustainable natural candles hand-poured with a rapeseed and soy wax for a long-lasting burn. Sarah’s studio side kick is her 5 year old Border Terrier Raph, who can often be found making friends with anyone who is happy to play ball. We spoke to her about how this cheeky character fits into her life while running Evermore.

RAE is a beautiful lifestyle store in the heart of the historical town of Rye. The store celebrates a slower pace of life through sourcing beautiful and well-made products alongside serving Allpress coffee. Run by Alexa and Eduardo who both come from creative backgrounds, they grew Rae from a shared love of finding special stores or places when travelling around the UK or abroad. They wanted to create that feeling of finding a hidden gem! Joining them in store is their cheeky whippet Ruby who is currently enjoying life exploring the beautiful Kent coast

OpahStore aims to help others find the perfect balance of beauty and practicality, form and function. To find contentment and inspiration in the recognition of simple objects and in the value of minimalism. Launched in 2019, Eliza-lee sources products from independent makers with a keen sense of principles. Joining Eliza-lee is schnauzer Opah, her studio buddy and daily companion.

Giada Maestra is a London based illustrator from Pordenone, Italy. Finding inspiration in the everyday, in the ordinary and in the unnoticed, she enjoys drawing people, dogs and places encountered along her way. Drawing both digitally and by hand, she explores different media, privileging pencil and watercolour. We chatted to Giada Maestra about her work and her favourite dog spotting areas in London

Underdog International are a unique charity that aims to positively impact one million children and dogs by 2025. Education is one of the most important elements of a comprehensive approach to changing behaviour. By encouraging positive interactions and teaching compassion from a young age, the charity helps to raise an understanding that animals should always be treated with kindness and consideration. With partner shelters in China, Cyprus, Bosnia, Mauritius and Romania, all of which provide lifesaving care to stray, abandoned, or neglected dogs. Underdog International work to find them a suitable home in the UK or mainland Europe where they have a more promising future. We chatted to Eve Moore who is Head of Adoptions to find out more about this wonderful charity and the work they do.

Elly and Harry are a couple with a love for handmade pieces and supporting independent makers, and together run the beautiful store Form Lifestyle Store, in Manchester's Northern Quarter. They’re often joined in the store by shop dog Rudy who loves sitting on their mezzanine level, on his wicker chair, keeping an eye on everything going on.

Jessica Stokes is a florist, gardener and artist based in Bath. Her floristry works in harmony with her gardening. Learning about different phases of growing, Jessica has chosen to grow unusual colours and varieties of flowers which can’t be bought. Along with creating gardens for her customer which support environments for local wildlife to flourish. When Jess recently welcomed Kipper into her world, she always knew he would be destined to be a working dog. Happily sitting by her side amused by the occasional snail or sticks he finds, all while offering the love and support needed.

Abby Hann is a print maker based in Canada with her dog Scamp. Finding inspiration from nature and her experiences outdoors while working as a biologist, Abby mainly works in carving linoleum for her prints. Joining Abby on her daily adventures is her dog Scamp, who loves nothing more then exploring Point Pleasant trails through the forests where there are always lots of squirrels to chase.

Lilo is a Norwegian veterinary nurse living in London. Her dedication to holistic health combined with her long experience and excellent nurturing and caring skills, gets her patients back to their healthy equilibrium.  Her journey began in 2009 when her puppy Samba suffered with poor health, after months of working with a holistic vet Samba was free from his issues and Lilo decided she needed to learn more about this natural approach and become a Vet Nurse, laser therapist and nutritionist. Her overall aim is to improve your dog’s health, wellness and happiness, through an holistic approach aligned with knowledge & cutting edge technologies tailored for your dog’s need.

The Natural Dyeworks was founded by Ros, a natural dyer living in the Kent countryside. Small-batch, slow-crafted, hand-dyed accessories are produced in her garden studio using exclusively plant-based dyes and natural fibres. Her raw ingredients are foraged from the paths and fields surrounding her home while walking her border terrier Polly, grown in her dye allotment or sourced from local food waste streams.

Dogs truly are an important part of Victoria Orozco Bello life. From learning to walk thanks to the help of her ‘Dog Nanny’ Loulou, to adopting her first dog Carlos who became her best friend and most faithful ally. Recently Victoria has adopted Santi from Underdog international and relocated to Barcelona with her sister Clemence and French Bulldog Maggie.We chatted to Victoria about the important role dogs have played in her life and how Santi is always by her side ready for every new adventure.

Evoking a sense of joy, humour and nostalgia is central to ceramic artist Alice Johnson. Through a playful use of colour, shape and form, Alice aims to tell a story with each of her pieces. Her truly distinctive artistry lies in her hand-built pieces, our favourite being her Pottery Pets. Each a unique representation of a real treasured pet, Alice’s ceramic cats and dogs become representations of the bond between human and animal. We chatted to Alice about her work and the inspiration behind Pottery Pets along with her love of dogs.

Anna Blackwell is an adventurer with a love of the great outdoors and pushing her limits. This has led her to completing a series of adventures over the last few years: trekking across the wilderness of Arctic and Northern Scandinavia with just reindeer for company, kayaking across Europe, walking 500 and 1000 miles across France and Spain along ancient pilgrimage routes, summiting the highest peak in North Africa, and hitch-hiking to Morocco (amongst plenty of others!). In 2020 Anna began a new adventure, after welcoming Bilbo the Collie Kelpie Cross into her life.

Emily Elizabeth Proctor is the ceramic artist behind Hoxton based label e.p.c. Emily uses coarse stoneware and natural tones to make simple and imperfect shapes that emphasise rather than hide the handmade nature of the objects. Her work is almost exclusively made using ancient hand build methods in an attempt to reconnect with the past. The forms are designed to be simple and primitive allowing the texture and colour of the clays and glazes to speak for themselves. We chat to Emily about the inspiration behind e.p.c and her Bulldog Kronus, who’s big personality keeps everyday entertaining and full of laughter.

Sisters María and Laura are the co-founders of Galería Échale Guindas. Born and based in Madrid, they both grew up loving art, design, architecture and cinema. Galería Échale Guindas is a dog friendly gallery where you can find artwork by over 40 different international artists, including the The Dog Cabinet which is a group show packed from floor to ceiling with dog portraits by different artists. We spoke to María and Laura about the inspiration behind the gallery along with their dogs Ramón and Curra and charity Las Muy Perras.

YOKO is a healthy and creative lifestyle brand that has grown out of a consciousness of dog owners Ashley and Luis. They adopted Yoko from the Humane Society NYC in 2015 after she was severely malnourished leading to her breaking two legs. After a long recovery process and a move back to London they became increasingly conscious about how a healthy nutritious diet and lifestyle could aid the recovery process, not only for humans but for dogs too. Ana is the artist behind ceramic studio KANA LONDON based in Hackney. When we started thinking about designing a dog bowl, we instantly knew we wanted to work in collaboration with Ana. Her work is experimental with each piece being made individually by hand, making them truly special. Our latest range takes inspiration from walks in nature around the UK, including the Cornish coast and the Dartmoor moorlands. We chatted to Ana about what inspires her and how her works in ceramics began.

London Terrariums was born in 2014 out of a passion for gardening but not having a garden in London. Founder Emma started making Terrariums in her kitchen, having grown up making miniature gardens in seed trays at her grandparent’s house where she quickly fell in love with these miniature ecosystems. Over the past years, London Terrariums have moved from their Bermondsey studio to their current and wonderful shop in New Cross Gate, London. This is also where you will find Emma’s miniature schnauzer Walnut playing with plant pots or chewing up our corks while waiting to welcome visiting customers.

Founded in 2017 by Laura Southern, HOLM was born out of the need to create a luxury, yet personable nail experience. As HOLM evolved and created a cult following of beauty goers - the brand has evolved into a Beauty & Lifestyle Brand. HOLM also has a Beauty Concept Space in East London’s Hackney, where you can often find Laura’s French Bulldog Arthur enjoying an afternoon nap or welcoming customers.

Rachel Rousham is an artist crossing the boundaries between art and design. Rachel has been working in the luxury fashion, TV & film and interiors industries since graduating in Fine Art from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2012. Her fine art background, combined with industry experience, gives her a unique and unparalleled creative originality that channels into her designs and exquisite execution. Rachel works from her London studio designing hand-drawn, original artworks and producing hand-guided free-motion machine embroidery on vintage Irish Singer embroidery machines. Bella accompanies Rachel as her studio assistant who has helped to add structure to her working day and is always on hand to offer cuddle breaks when needed

Elisa MacDougall is an artist living and working in London. She specialises in pet portraits, illustration and pattern design. Pet Stories is a photography and Pet Model Agency service that captures a pet’s personality and the special relationship shared between pet and person. With a relaxed approach, Emily steers away from staged shots or forced poses but instead specialises in producing photos that capture the everyday. This could be a certain part of a daily routine, a particular habit, or a special ritual that has developed between pet and owner and signifies their unbreakable bond. These are the moments that Emily aims to capture. We spoke to Emily about her cheeky rescue dog Alan and how a long morning walk with him at her side makes for the most productive way to start the day.

Angie Power is an independent, London-based fashion label, headed by French-Italian designer, Angèle Donà dalle Rose. Inspired by the heavily romantic and powerfully feminine – Angèle draws inspiration on both 18th century designs and 60’s pop-culture when designing her collections. Joining Angèle in the atelier is Luppy, the character filled pup who is always by her side filling her day with laughter and championship.

Design by Nature is an artistic floristry studio based in Tottenham, North London, that was founded by Emily Ayres in 2017. After starting her new career in floristry, it has become Emily's ambition to align contemporary sculpture and design with floristry. She takes cues from the natural world and modern art, working with flowers as a tool for composition. Her studio buddy is Daphne, the beautiful Lurcher who can often be found helping Emily in her studio by enjoying a tasty floral snack when no one is looking.

Ren is a London based designer with a passion for natural textiles, thoughtful and well-designed clothing and a slow and sustainably minded lifestyle, which she hopes to inspire in others through her collections. She believes in a mindful approach to fashion and aims to offer more sustainable alternatives without compromising on style. Dedicated to small scale production and careful material sourcing, she designs investment pieces that will be reliable favourites for many seasons to come. Helping to add structure to her busy studio life is Otis the cockapoo, who you can often find making friends in London Fields park. We spoke to Ren about Otis and how he can often be found photobombing models on shoot days or enjoying the odd stolen croissant while being a play pal for her daughter Marni.

Sum is an illustrator based in East London and the designer behind Woof Models. Woof Models was born from the love of her Corgi girl VV. Whilst in Sydney and missing VV, Sum began to draw. Inspired by the dogs around her she started to draw more. Since then she has worked with J.Crew and her work has been featured in Four&Sons, Dog Milk, Modern Dog Magazine and many more.

Amy Balch is best known for her animal artworks in which she creates life and movement using a limited colour palette. An emotional and instinctive mark maker, Amy works in black ink and acrylic paints layered together with delicate drawn pen lines to immortalise her animal muses on paper.Amy’s early morning walks with her dogs Macey, Ginny and Bonnie help to add structured to her days spent painting in her studio

Harriet Lowther is a Wiltshire based artist and illustrator. Harriet enjoys exploring different mediums within her work including water colour, pen and ink, ceramics and collage. For the past 10 years designer Tess Bergin has worked to create clean, minimal, user centric solutions for web, email & apps within e-commerce businesses including End. and Farfetch. Whilst taking inspiration from the environment around her, Tess has worked alongside Product, Development, Marketing & Studio teams to create a cohesive & interesting experience for the customer. Working freelance offered her the opportunity to welcome Otis (a German Shorthaired Pointer cross) to the family. We chatted to Tess about her work and how Otis’s free spirit has added fun and playfulness to her working routine.

Imogen Milburn is dog-obsessed designer and Illustrator based in West Yorkshire. Her work has recently evolved into digital illustration, creating images which are fun and have an element of comedy to them. We chat to Imogen about her work and how her love of dogs and their unique personalities are also a source of inspiration.

French illustrator Apolline Muet embraces all creatures, great and small (dogs and wolves in particular). However, her recent work has explored our emotions and how to bring these to life through images. Apolline has recently welcomed Récif (an Australian Shepherd puppy) into her life. Their morning walks together along the coastline have helped to offer Apolline a sense of freedom and clarity ready for the working day ahead.

Sennen boasts one of the most beautiful stretches of beaches in Cornwall, and still retains much of the atmosphere of an old fishing village. One of our favourite places to stay when visiting this beautiful part of the British coast line is Carnacalla Cottage. Formally owned by the National Trust, this beautiful cottage is now run by Polly Bathsheba. Full of character & innovative twists, Polly has designed the space to celebrate the natural age & charm of this beautiful building. We chatted to Polly about life by the sea and her English Bull Terrier Bruce.

Artist Sally Muir is based in Bath, UK and is a prodigious portrait painter of dogs. Several years ago Sally began a Facebook project, posting dog art daily, which became the best-selling book A Dog A Day. Through the project she was introduced to endless people and their dogs, and the distinct personalities and complex emotions that owners attribute to them. More recently, Sally’s project changed focus and she asked the public to send in photographs of their old dogs. Featuring grey muzzles, milky eyes and wobbly legs, as well as tender anecdotes picked up from a whole lifetime of companionship. From loose sketches and lithographs to potato prints and oil paintings, her new book Old Dogs includes a range of mediums that Sally has become known for, and embraces dogs of all shapes and sizes: big, small, pedigree and cross breed.

Sophie Bansal is an illustrator and graphic designer based in London, currently studying for her Masters degree in Graphic Communication Design at Central Saint Martins. Her illustration style is textural and colourful, often reflecting the personalities and atmosphere of her subjects. Joining Sophie while working from home is her rescue pup Hopper who enjoys exploring the city on Sophie’s bike.

Pinchipotto is the dreamy world of ceramics created by Australian-born artist, Andrea Gunadi. With German and Indonesian roots, her work plays with contrasting aesthetics of quietness, animation, texture and feeling, celebrating harmonious opposites. Joining Andrea in her studio is Hoagie the French bulldog, who helps to keep the day playful and life magical with his free spirit.

Ilaria Pauletti is the writer behind Italian blog zampettafelice.it which is dedicated to all things dog. She is also working on dog + human, a new independent magazine devoted to the love of our four-legged companions. Ilaria’s inspiration comes from her Corgi Lulla who not only helped her to overcome a fear of dogs, but also inspired her to follow her dreams.

Celia Bristow is Director and Co-Founder of Luxe + Hardy. A luxury and sustainable rest and sleepwear brand that was born out of the need for us to all adopt a regular restorative routine as part of a more balanced lifestyle. Joining Celia while working from home is Puffin, the relaxed Spaniel who enjoys nothing more then spending her day napping on Celia’s lap. We chatted to Celia about the inspiration behind Luxe + Hardy and how Puffin has helped to add routine to her day while working from home.
