Dog Friendly Ice Cream Recipes | The iconic summer treat
Ice cream is an iconic summer treat which both you and your dog can enjoy during the hotter months. Making refreshing summer treats for your dog is easier than you may think and it’s a great way to help keep them cool during the summer. Plus making your dog’s snacks yourself means you can tailor them to their specific dietary requirements.
Below are our top favourite ice cream flavours, so tasty you may even be stealing some of these treats for yourself.

Tropical Summer
Ingredients
1 Banana
1 Cup pf Watermelon
½ Cup of Pineapple
Berry Medley
Ingredients
1 ripe banana
1 large handful of berries such as blueberries, raspberries or strawberries
1tsp honey
1 tsp of coconut oil
You can choose to add natural yogurt to any of the above flavour options, but the banana will help add creaminess and some dogs can find diary difficult to digest.
You can also make our Bone Broth Recipe and once cooled this can also be frozen to make a tasty ice lolly.
You will also need some silicone ice cube moulds – There is a great selection of different shape options available on the market, including bone shaped ones. We prefer smaller shaped moulds which are easier for your dog to handle.
Method
Add all of your chosen ingredients to a blender and mix until everything is blended, and the mixture is smooth. Pour into the moulds and freeze for at least 3 hours but ideally overnight. If you do not have a blender you can choose to use a fork or potato masher to mash the fruit into a smooth paste and then stir in the other ingredients.
